Pool Fun Easter Baskets

Wednesday, March 23, 2016

I'm super excited for Easter this year because the little man will actually  be old enough to enjoy his basket!  I went light this year, filling them because our two kiddos got crazy spoiled over Christmas and birthdays. I am sure they will still enjoy the treats they find inside.

I still love this list of 101 Kids Easter Basket Ideas and I've used a lot of these suggestions.  This year I did all the shopping at Target.  They are "pool"-ish themed baskets with little extras.  I went practical and filled them mostly with things they need.

How cute is this basket I got last year the day after Easter for 75% off?!

Little man has mostly the same things.  Stickers and a new book.  Can you tell he loves dinosaurs?!

I know he is just going to LOVE that pool gun.

If you're looking for more ideas, here are some of the baskets from the past years:
sippy cups, hair bows, Pez, little wooden trains, coloring books.  So many ideas to help you fill your baskets!

I didn't get a chance to get a good picture of last years but here it is anyways.

And if you are thinking of making one for the hubby...

Happy Easter everyone! Really appreciate you stopping by.  Until next time.

Morning Face with Prosacea

Monday, March 21, 2016

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Prosacea for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Skin is one of those things that used to make me very self conscious.  I had horrible acne in high school and the rosacea on my cheeks made me want to cover up.  Cover up with concealer, then powder or heavy foundation when needed.  My face looked more like a cake than natural.  It was even worse during times of stress and with my first pregnancy.  My face broke out and reddened as if I was going through puberty again!  BUT thanks to this little tube of Prosacea Medicated Rosacea Gel my skin is better than it ever has been!
Even in the winter time when the dry cold seems to irritate my skin, Prosacea® has helped to control the redness, bumps and irritation.  My husband is still amazed at how much my skin has cleared up!
Every morning I wash my face with a light cleanser and use a teeny tiny bit of Prosacea® Medicated Rosacea Gel on my cheeks.  Top that with a moisturizer because my face gets really dry.  Like most facial products Prosacea does have a smell but it is not horrible or stinky. The aloe helps to soothe the reddened skin and it is very light.  The water- based formula so it goes on easily and absorbs quickly.  You can wear it under your makeup during the day because it provides a flawless finish.
Prosacea® Medicated Rosacea Gel isn't like makeup that will just cover up Rosacea but will help control those symptoms.  Just like with every other medicine in your cabinet just be sure to read and follow the directions on the label.  It will heal and not just conceal.  Prosacea® is dermatologist recommended and the #1 over-the-counter rosacea treatment.  It has a 90% satisfaction among users because it actually works!
If you suffer from rosacea or redness why not give Prosacea a try?  It can be picked up in the First Aid aisle at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, and many retailers.  Head over to the website for a $3.00 off coupon. You could see results in just a few days.  Leave me a comment letting me know how you deal with redness and you could win a Prosacea care package!

Overnight Oats

Friday, March 11, 2016

Most days of the week we are on the go so breakfast isn't always a sit down four hour event like it is on the weekends.  I'm usually the last to feed myself and I hate skipping breakfast, so I love overnight oats.  It's like a parfait with extra points because it has soaked oats and I love oatmeal.  Not everyone loves it but I can tell ya, my kids do!   Not mention it's a great sweet treat after dinner.

There are so many ways to make these oats, you can customize to your families tastes and favorites.  We keep it simple in our house with these ingredients:

2 cups of oats
2 1/2 cups of milk
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
dash of cinnamon
drizzle of vanilla extract
6 cups of Activia Yogurt
fruit of choice [optional]

I like my oats to be a little soft in the morning so I throw everything except the yogurt and fresh fruit into a microwave safe bowl and microwave for two minutes.  This recipe is easy to remember because there are a lot of twos in it.  Mix this up.

Take six little mason jars and put half of the yogurt cup in the bottom.  Layer with the oat and liquid mixture.  Top with the rest of the yogurt.

I like to have a little yogurt in every bite.  Put it in the refrigerator overnight and the oats will be just the perfect texture and softness.  It is so yummy!!  There you go, you've got 6 breakfasts and snacks.

Really appreciate you stopping by!  Until next time.
