The Fastest Relief for Cough and Cold Season. We love Chloraseptic®!

Tuesday, February 10, 2015

This winter has been extra cruel to us in terms of getting sick.  I guess it gets to be that way when you have a kiddo in preschool and when there are oodles of play dates.  I am a believer that kids carry the worst and strongest germs.  No matter how often we washed our hands or tried our best to stay away from the coughing sneezing little buggers,  all of us in our family at some point got plagued with illness.  There is nothing worse than having a sore throat, achy body, runny nose, and fever so we stocked up on Chloraseptic®.

As soon as I hear "Mommy hold you" I automatically know that this little one is sick.  Little man may not be able to talk yet but he is the same.  As soon as that fever strikes I am attached to the babies 24/7 leaving no room for me to get sick.  I have to be on high alert for throw up, arms open for snuggles, and ready to make some home made soup at a drop of a hat.  My hubby always jokes that I am not allowed to get sick.  When the mama bear is sick it's mayhem.
Cloraseptic

But how can I stay healthy when nursing these little ones back to health?  As soon as I start feeling that sore throat I start spraying Chloraseptic® throat spray.  I love that it comes in this cute little bottle so I can carry it where ever I am.  I don't get sick days, I still have to make lunches, lug the little lady to school, and be on the go so this spray is perfect for my bag!  It seriously gives instant relief for the sore throat pain.

It is amazing and I know why Chloraseptic® is the #1 pharmacist recommended product for sore throat relief (*Lozenges Tied for #1).  Don't tell him I told you but he is a big baby when it comes to sore throats and getting sick.  But with this spray numbs that pain and gives instant relief!  Extra bonus because they are sugar free and honey is a natural sore throat reliever.  That's the one I usually choose but it comes in a variety of flavors including Cherry, Max Wild Berry, Warming Honey Lemon, and Grape spray, made just for kids.

Because the Chloraseptic® lozenges and sprays work on contact, we don't wait to take it when we feel the cold symptoms coming on.  Pick and choose what we need whether it's sore throat or a sore throat and cough and we take it.  I sneak him the  Chloraseptic® Sore Throat Max because he absolutely hates the sore throat pain.

They may be little but these little lozenges pack quite the punch and they are pretty yummy too.  As soon as you bite into it, the sootging liquid flows and numbs the throat and clears the nasal passages.  It is awesome and the only medicine I have tried that has provided relief for sore throat and that quickly.  Makes me feel well enough to conquer the day.

So don't wait until you start to feel the cold coming along!  Stock up on  Chloraseptic® now so you're ready for when it comes, because you know it will.  Use this $1 Chloraseptic® Coupon and get some now!

I choose Chloraseptic® because I need fast relief when I get sick so I can bounce back and take care of the family.  There is no room for this mama to have sick days.  And if you're like me and want to avoid the flu like a plague be sure to check out the Cold & Flu Tracker and like Chloraseptic® Facebook.

What's your Jamba Juice Flavor?

Monday, February 9, 2015

There is nothing more refreshing than drinking a cool healthy fruit smoothie and our favorites are at Jamba Juice!  The very first time I had a Jamba was with the hubby while we were still in high school back in Palmdale, Ca.  They opened up one in our home town and it was our go to place.  12 years and two kids later we are still Jamba Juice lovers and grab one every time we are in DC.  The funny thing is he still gets the same drink over a decade later.  Can you guess what our favorite flavors are?

Even though they have come up with new flavors we still love the "classics".  My hubby is a razzmatazz junkie.  Our little love bug loves strawberry banana.  I'm the wild card and pretty much go with how I feel for the day.  There are so many new flavors to choose from its not easy just picking one… maybe Orange Reviver, or Garden Melody.  One day if I am brave enough I will have to try the Carrot Cayenne. Jamba-prem_juice-carrot_cayenne-ko
On our most recent visit I chose the Acai Super-Antioxidant.  It has Acai, blueberries, raspberry sherbet and an Antioxidant Boost [which I need with these crazy kids].  What a great boost for the day!  I love Jamba because it is so stinkin freshing.  It just brightens up my day.  So yummy and tangy, I would definitely recommend this drink.

We choose Jamba Juice because it's healthy, paleo, and fresh pressed.  Who doesn't love Fresh Squeezed Juices?  Love bug loves the smoothies and it's the perfect treat for her because it has no preservatives and it is 100% juice!  Healthy and yummy is always a win-win in my book.  She always get so excited to go and I love just sitting there chatting about all the random things that pop into her little brain.  It’s the perfect mommy and me date and it still cracks me up to see the fascination of the blender.

It's also a really kid friendly place.  I've never been to a Jamba Juice where the customer service was awful.  They are always friendly and sometimes funny.  I think he was nervous for his photo op [hehehe].  Whoops!

That’s okay because back up arrived shortly and we all had a good laugh.

The best part about Jamba Juice is you can now get it on the go!  Say what?!  It's every busy mom's dream come true.  Now when I am on a shopping date with this stud at our favorite red shop...

I can pick up a Jamba on the go, right there at the food court.  A one stop shop.  I love it and he was all over it wishing he knew how to drink out of a straw.  Ha!  Of course they don't have all the flavors but our strawberry Jamba tasted just like it does when we go to Jamba.  So delicious!

And now I am going to share my delicious with you!  Leave a comment telling me what flavor you would pick for a chance to win a Jamba Juice gift card.  Is it Tropical Greens?  You a Citrus Kick kind of a girl or maybe a Veggie Harvest.  Find Your Closest Store and check out all the new drinks!

End the Cranky

Saturday, February 7, 2015

I have all these random quotes I pin onto my board I'm Just Saying and every once in awhile I'll browse through it and see something that strikes a chord in my soul.

Ding ding ding... This one caught my eye because lately I've been in this funk.  To be honest I've been really cranky and a big complainer.  And whose fault is it?  Mine.  I've been focusing on the negative instead of choosing to see the good.  [You know griping about being so tired, the house being a mess, the kids acting crazy.]  When things get challenging it's easy to complain.

If you haven't already noticed I've been pumping ads out [thanks Social Spark!] and making some extra money.  So really it's my fault that I am so cranky.  Like today we had love bugs birthday and now I'm up late because I procrastinated on writing because I have a deadline to meet.  Yup, master procrastinator over here.

I have yet to find the balance between managing the home and work.  In my dream world I want to be able to do all the things I do at home, craft, and work.  But the reality is I can't...there aren't enough hours in the day and I usually end up here.  12:07 a.m. writing ads, editing pictures.  Working while everyone else is asleep.  Waking up cranky and it's not pretty.

Work takes time. SO as hard as it may be, that means less crafts, less home cooking, deep breaths when the laundry is outrageous and the house is crazy.  It's going to take time to find that right balance, but until then I'm going to try to stay positive, SEE the good and fight that sleep deprived crankiness.

I'm going to choose to see the good that my hubby sees... I get paid to cook/test products take pictures and then write about it?!  That's everything you love to do.  And he's right.  I'm going to be grateful that I get to make a little extra money doing what I love.  I get to work at home, in my jammies on my own time.

One practical way I've been encouraged is through the Bible app.  They have some pretty great quick devotionals.  If you want to see the good with me and be thankful everyday you can do the Power of Being Thankful one and there are so many others to choose from!  So here's to seeing the good and being positive.  Now back to work.

Happy Sunday!
 Until next time.  Toodles!

Valentine's Day Crafts: Love Bug and Flamingo

Wednesday, February 4, 2015

February is always a crazy month for me.  Makes my head spin just thinking about it.  If you follow my blog you would know it is because my little love bug's birthday is the week before Valentine's Day so I never get the chance to really do Valentine's Day the way I would like to. My attention is usually focused on a party [and this year it's a puppy themed one].  Regardless, I still try to do some heart filled crafts and personalized cards for the grandparents.  This year it's flamingos and love bugs.

These of course are inspired by Pinterest and you can find a whole lot of inspiration on my Vday Pinterest board.

I got these wood hearts at a craft store and couldn't figure out what to do with them so little man's footprint went on there.  I couldn't do a lady bug because of the red heart but sadly saw the love bug bee too late.  So note to yourself that you can do a bee or a lady bug.  Still came out cute. Just a tip for getting those baby foot prints... sit them in their high chair with a tray of goodies.  This works great if you have a wiggly little one like mine.

The flamingo was so cute I couldn't resist.  We did one hand print the wrong way but it still turned out cute.

And here are some crafts we have done in the past...

This has to be one of my favorites.  I turned her painting into THIS card.

The I love you to pieces card.

Heart fish craft.

The heart tree.

We made these fun juice boxes for her class party last year

and these fun butterfly lollipops.

Looking for something for the hubby?  I skipped this one this year but it's a fun one and he enjoys it too.

I also ditched the felt heart I made a few years ago but it was a cute idea.

Last year I whipped up a last minute heart and will be using it again this year.  Turns out she ended up loving that unicorn and it is now her favorite.  I'm debating about getting her a similar big eyed teeny baby in a different animal.

I may have gotten rid of the felt heart but I can't say no to felt.  I bought one dollar envelops and we are doing love letters everyday.  It's working out pretty nice and we are enjoying reading them.

Hope this inspires you to get in the Valentine mood and get crafty!  What are you planning on doing for Vday?

 Until next time.  Toodles!
